We understand the damage a leaking pipe can do. All of our technicians are trained in non-destructive techniques to identify the location of a hidden leak quickly, cost effectively, precisely and with minimal damage to walls and floors.
We use various methods of detection such as thermal imaging, acoustic amplification, moisture detection and gas tracing.
Moisture Detection Equipment: This equipment allows us to identify excess moisture in building materials that are not visible and may help pinpoint leak location.
When a leak occurs, our team conducts a thorough visual inspection to assess the extent of water damage and identify any affected areas. By carefully examining walls, ceilings, floors, and plumbing systems, we can help to determine the source of the problem and recommend the most effective steps in order for the repair to be undertaken.
Our acoustic inspection services use sensitive listening technology to pinpoint the exact location of hidden water damage in walls, ceilings, and plumbing systems, even if it’s buried deep underground. This non-invasive approach helps us quickly identify the source, minimise further damage, and guide the most effective repairs for your home or business.
The use of Infrared equipment enables us to identify differentials in thermal patterns which may be the location of the leak source. This is particularly useful when identifying heating system or hot water leaks or leaks in roof structures. Cold water leaks are also detectable using this method but it depends on the material in which the source is located and at what depth.
This method is used when a leak has been identified by a known loss of water on a system but it’s location cannot be pin pointed using other methods. This is occasionally carried out in conjunction with a gas safe registered plumber.
Once a leak has been accurately located, our team carefully exposes the affected area to access the source. We take a controlled, precise approach to minimise disruption while preparing the property for repair and restoration, ensuring the problem can be fixed effectively and efficiently.
Once the source of a leak has been exposed, our team can carry out temporary repairs to stop further water intrusion. These immediate measures help protect your property and belongings while a permanent solution is planned, minimising damage and giving you peace of mind.
